About Specialist Sports
Founded in 1992, Specialist Sports provides next day fulfilment within the UK alongside global distribution services. Operating in a fast moving distribution environment, the business required a technology platform capable of supporting automation while scaling in line with growing operational demands.
The Challenge
To support its automated warehouse, Specialist Sports needed an Oracle based system that could improve operational efficiency and scalability. The solution had to reliably manage product data at scale while integrating with a robotic picking and storage system used for order fulfilment and dispatch.
The Oracle Solution
Vinters delivered the IT infrastructure and Oracle services required to support the robotic warehouse environment. The solution was custom designed to store and manage critical product data, including:
- Product location
- Stock quantity
- Dispatch and fulfilment information
This data is consumed by warehouse robots to pick, store, and dispatch products efficiently, enabling a highly automated fulfilment process.
